Sarah Lacy, author of Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good, will be in Des Moines, IA this weekend as part of her User Generated Book Tour. On Saturday, August 2nd she will be at East Village Books for a book reading/signing and afterwards a post party has already been planned at The Royal Mile and is open to all. And as a surprise, I found out there will also be a small social gathering the night before at the Raccoon River Brewing Co.

The book itself is a great read for anyone interested in the Web2.0 scene and curious about mindset of some most innovative people coming out of the Valley. If you haven’t finished yet… um lets just say you are not the only one and if you haven’t picked up a copy don’t worry because you should be able to pick up a copy at East Village Books.

On another note, this should make for a most excellent weekend and a nice way to round out this very long week. As a father of two it is a very rare occassion to go out two nights in a row so starting tomorrow I’m looking forward to taking full advantage of the hard work Nathan Wright and Andy TeBockhorst put into coordinating these gatherings.
