Gary Vaynerchuk rocks Des Moines

Date June 23, 2008

Gary Vanyerchuk of Wine Library TV and garyvaynerchuk.com came to Des Moines this past weekend as part of his whirlwind, community driven book tour and rocked the house. If you missed the event you missed much more than a book signing. In his two plus hours on stage Gary talked about his passion for wine, the Jets, and people… oh and let’s not forget he ran down the Wine Library TV show format and did a double blind wine tasting.

Post-book signing Gary continued to share his knowledge with the crowd as we moved from our hosts at East Village Books to the Continental. Gary is just an amazing wealth of knowledge in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing and most importantly fantasy baseball. Hanging out with Gary was, in all seriousness, a life changing experience. His energy and his passion was something I have never experienced before and he truly just wants to meet and help everyone he can (personal note: Gary, I thank you for the advice and the guidance to be honest with myself, see past the risk and try something new… future updates to will be posted on this blog).
Gary provides a refresh prespective on the wine, business and social media world and last saturday I learned he is changing much more than the wine world. For more coverage of this event check out a couple other local new media experts and their interview with Gary: Nathan Wright from Lava Row and Elisabeth Lewin from Podcasting news.
Additional thanks to Gary for giving Des Moines a chance and adding us to your book tour, Teri and Andy from East Village Books for hosting the event, the great people from WineStyles for pouring the wine, and all of the people who expressed interest and really made the event happen! I know there were several who drove two hours plus for this event so thank you so much for your time!!!
